The Deep Bay Improvement District (DBID) is fortunate to have an excellent source of ground water that does not require any treatment.  The DBID is required, as part of the operating permit, to test water samples regularly.  There are four sample sites, identified by Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), and each of the four sites is sampled on a monthly basis.  Samples are delivered to Parksville for testing by VIHA.

DBID takes further samples from throughout the distribution system and sends these samples to an independent lab for additional chemical analysis.  Results from our recent testings are available below.
